Surrey SATRO aims to help young people in schools and colleges to discover what the world of work is all about –to enthuse them about the opportunities and help them to realise their potential.
Surrey SATRO has existed for more than 20 years as a charity which brings together education establishments and business - we provide a vital link by facilitating relationships and by developing and running programmes within schools that enhance young people’s understanding of business, science and technology.
This valuable work benefits business in terms of engaging with the local community and raising the profile of the company, and provides development opportunities for staff. For schools, the relationship enables them to enhance delivery of the curriculum by accessing skills and materials not normally available to them. For individual students it can be life changing.
We work with children from the very start of school through to their final years in education. We deliver exciting science workshops and Company Challenges, run business games and mentoring schemes, train and support teachers, hold careers showcases, and much more besides!
